Testimonials
from Families
Funerals, visitations
and memorial services are known to have significant benefits in
the healing process for people who have lost loved ones. The following
comments from families are indicative of positive experiences
when working with Golden Rule funeral home owners
and staff to create appropriate and meaningful funeral services.

This was a military service for our son killed in Afghanistan. The funeral director guided us through this with respect for us and the military. He went way beyond what we expected, from arranging for us to be there when our son came to the airport to controlling the news media who had overwhelmed us. The funeral procession was long and had to be coordinated with town and village police and military. Everything was handled respectfully and with dignity. Having planned and attended too many funerals in my lifetime, I can honestly say this was the best funeral director and staff I have ever encountered. I cannot think of anything worse than burying your child and the funeral director and staff were kind, caring, respectful, knowledgeable and very comforting. Everyone attending the wake and funeral said the same. From parking their cars to helping family and friends in and giving us every assistance we needed, the staff was always there to help. Golden Rule funeral homes should be very proud to have this funeral home as a member.

The funeral director was a very compassionate man. It was not necessary, but he prepared my mother in a peaceful manner for my brother's family to say their goodbyes before her cremation. The staff guided us so nicely through the brief but meaningful ceremony.

The funeral director was the best. He was available any time, night or day, to accommodate family coming in from Tennessee and all of the other families. He went above and beyond in his service to the family when he transported the deceased 800+ miles to the cemetery. The ceremony was significant in its attention to the heritage and personality of the deceased. He was professional, caring, sensitive to the needs of daughter vs granddaughter. Everything was handled promptly and with caring, professional attitudes and skills, from the obituaries written, to website changes, and updates to the remembrance book.

I was absolutely pleased with the treatment I received from the funeral director. He was very professional, while at the same time considerate towards me and the situation I was dealing with. I felt as though I was being taken care of with the utmost respect and concern for my well-being. I did not expect this, but the funeral director arranged an honor guard at the cemetery. I was presented with the American flag that draped my father's coffin. It was absolutely amazing and another instance where this funeral home went above and beyond.

Everything was just perfect. We needed a wheel chair for my son and they quickly provided it at the funeral home and also at the cemetery. At the ceremony, they released a dove at the end of the service. You will never know how much that meant to me and my family. A member of the staff came to visit me and brought the death certificates and other informative papers. She was just wonderful.
